Results (A-level 2023)

Heathcote are so pleased with all our pupils at A-Level and BTEc this year.

This cohort had to work so hard to overcome the impact of the pandemic and we are really proud of the amazing results they have achieved. The key measures have all improved since 2019, the year when the last full exams were sat.

We are moved to announce that we have had a whopping 13% increase in A*-B to 44%, a 10% increase in our A*-C grades to 68% and a 5% increase on the A*-A to 17%.  This is incredible in a year where there was so much uncertainty about the outcomes.

IMG 0867Most importantly 71/94 pupils who applied to university have been given their first choice or insurance – and 90% of our cohort will be going onto to study at university. Furthermore, 18 pupils (16% of the cohort) have secured places at Russell Group universities. These include four at Kings, five at Queen Mary, three at Nottingham and two at Loughborough, which is considerably above the national average.

We are honoured to announce that we have successfully had two pupils offered a place at Cambridge UniversityBrehyr will be studying Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and Mohammed will be studying Medicine.  Brehyr is really excited for her next steps and was very thankful for all the support she received at Heathcote school.

We are also proud to reveal that all three of our pupils with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) achieved their first choice place at University to study Journalism / Fine Art / Football Management. We are so proud of Sienna, Stefan and Shanuza for all the hard work and effort over the 7 years at Heathcote.

We have five pupils who have secured an apprenticeship, with Michael and Grace securing a place at Higgins Group for construction and project management.

At Heathcote we are giving life chances to young people and making their dreams come true – and it is a real privilege to help to make this happen.

Well done to the cohort of 2023!!!
