Behaviour & Attendance

Behaviour

In our Sixth Form, we instil high expectations for behaviour, recognizing that our pupils serve as leaders within the school community. We encourage our pupils to embody the values of being ready, prepared for the challenges of academic and personal growth; responsible, fostering a sense of accountability and commitment to their education; and respectful, promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere. By embracing these values, our pupils serve as role models for their peers and younger pupils, enhancing the overall learning experience for everyone.

Attendance

Attendance is paramount to academic success, and at Heathcote, we emphasize the importance of consistent attendance. Pupils are expected to maintain a minimum attendance rate of 95%, reflecting their commitment to being responsible for their learning journey.

In line with our commitment to professionalism, we have established a dress code that reflects the values of a business-like and professional environment. Pupils are expected to adhere to a uniform policy that includes collar shirts, non-branded tops, and neutral-coloured attire, maintaining a standard of professional business wear. This emphasis on a smart and professional appearance not only prepares our pupils for the expectations of the professional world beyond school but also fosters a sense of pride and unity within the school community.
